Voters across central Florida swept in fresh candidates in races from local county commissions to Capitol Hill.

The long, grueling presidential election is moving into the next phase. Also, Orange County residents have brand new trash bins, but many of them aren’t happy. And medical marijuana supporters net enough signatures to get an amendment on the ballot for November.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Monday shows 84 percent of Floridians support medical marijuana. But Quinnipiac’s Peter Brown says Floridians have a history of showing early support of the issue. He says medical marijuana polled strong months ahead of the failed 2014 referendum.
