NASA and SpaceX plan to launch astronauts to the International Space Station on Wednesday. It'll be the first time a new kind of spacecraft has launched astronauts into orbit since the space shuttle.

Private space company Blue Origin released details of a new rocket, called New Glenn, that will tower over the competition from SpaceX. The rocket is named in honor of astronaut John Glenn.

All this week the 90.7 news team is hitting the road and talking to voters. Last week, spectators gathered at Space View Park in Titusville to watch the launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. While folks were anxiously awaiting the countdown clock to hit zero, they spoke with 90.7’s Brendan Byrne about the countdown to the Whitehouse.

Space X is reviewing every frame of video to find out exactly why its Falcon 9 rocket exploded shortly after liftoff Sunday. Search crews are also on the hunt for fallen debris.
