Ocala doesn't have much cold weather and it doesn't have an ice skating rink. What it does have is three Olympians who medaled at Beijing Winter Olympics in speed skating.

If you wonder how Ocala could have a reputation for champion ice skaters, it’s because they start out on wheels on Renee Hildebrand's inline racing team.

Jackson became the first Black woman to medal in speed skating at a winter Olympics, and the first American woman to win the competition since 1994.

Many thousands are expected to gather Saturday evening and cheer on the floats and bands and all the other marchers -- and of course Santa -- as they travel down East Silver Springs Boulevard.
