State Senator Geraldine Thompson is running for the 10th Congressional District, that’s Republican Daniel Webster’s seat. Thompson said her years of elected service have prepared her for Congress.

Two members of central Florida’s congressional delegation are upset over the shape of their districts in newly proposed congressional maps. The complaints come from both sides of the aisle.

Lawmakers will head back to Tallahassee in October to redraw the state’s Senate districts. It will be the third special session this year.
