Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf calls on Britain's Scotland Yard to aid an investigation into the assassination of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto. Bhutto was killed Dec. 27, in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, after a political rally. Musharraf's request defers to demands by opposition officials.

Benazir Bhutto's 19-year-old son Bilawal Zardari on Sunday was named chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, with his father, Asif, as co-chairman. Party leaders meeting in Bhutto's ancestral home also decided to participate in the Jan. 8 elections, but the vote is expected to be postponed.

Information Surfaces on Bhutto's Final Moments
Thousands turned out to pay respects to Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto, who was buried in a family mausoleum near Karachi. New information has come to light about the final moments before her motorcade was attacked Thursday. Her assassination set off riots, but the violence seems to be subsiding.
