WMFE|WMFV AIRING NPR'S GAVEL-TO-GAVEL COVERAGE OF HOUSE IMPEACHMENT HEARINGS
TUNE IN ON WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY MORNING FOR SPECIAL COVERAGE WITH ONE-HOUR RECAPS AT 8 P.M.
Democrats say President Trump abused his power when he asked for a probe into a political rival. Republicans say the president did nothing wrong. Now key players involved in the Ukraine affair will offer public testimony for all of America to hear.
Central Florida public radio stations 90.7 WMFE and 89.5 WMFV will air NPR’s gavel-to-gavel coverage of the public hearings of the House Impeachment Inquiry into the president on Wednesday and Friday. You can also stream and watch on our website.
"This is a very important aspect of our democracy, and the public must have the ability to hear for themselves what is said," said Stephen Yasko, interim president and general manager of WMFE | WMFV.
Here’s the schedule of special coverage:
Wednesday
10 a.m. Live coverage of the public hearings hosted by Michel Martin. Ambassador William Taylor, the acting U.S. ambassador to Ukraine and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State George Kent will testify.
8 p.m. How will testimony from key players in the Ukraine affair affect the case to impeach President Trump? Join us for a one-hour special recap of Wednesday’s public hearings hosted by Ari Shapiro and Audie Cornish.
