Atypical classy thoughtful upcycled furniture and accessories are finally becoming a thing in Central Florida thanks to events like Deland Indie Market, stores like Adjectives and annual events like the Polka Dot Flea, now in its 3rd year. The event features shabby chic, funky, cool and upcycled merchandise vendors all hand selected by a jury of their peers. Tickets are the price of one affogato from Vespr Coffee. And speaking up upcycled, a winter Garden boutique called Upscale Thrift Boutique is having its monthly Dollar Day Saturday starting at 9am. Shoppers will find men’s and women’s clothing for a dollar. That’s one fifth of the price of an affogato from Vespr Coffee. This event happens every month on Second Saturdays.
