It's a Halloween experience unique to Central Florida: a haunted house...without the house. In fact, the outdoor seasonal attraction “A Petrified Forest” is equal to a pair of traditional haunted houses – two themed trails packed with scary sets and scarier actors wind through a wooded lot in Altamonte Springs.
This week, “A Petrified Forest” Director Sylvia Viles tells 90.7’s Nicole Creston about the project, which started nine years ago in a suburban back yard and has grown into a full-fledged Halloween attraction.
